BenefitX bills employers $45 per employee per month. You earn 20% of every dollar billed, for the life of the account.
Math: 25 employees × $45/month × 20% = $225/month, $2,700/year. As long as the employer stays on BenefitX, you keep earning. No reset. No clawback after the first 12 months.

Every month on the 5th, Stripe sends your earned commissions directly to your bank account. In January, Stripe issues your 1099 automatically.

Do I need an insurance license?
No. The 20% commission is on the BenefitX SaaS subscription fee — that's a software/services product, not an insurance product. Anyone can apply and earn it. Insurance commissions on individual policies that BenefitX members eventually buy are separate, handled by licensed insurance producers at AssureCor.
How long does it take to get approved?
Most applicants are approved same day. After you submit the application, you'll be redirected to Stripe Connect to complete a quick identity verification (govt ID + bank account). Once Stripe approves, you can start sharing your link.
How do I get my referral link?
After approval, your dashboard will show your personal link in the format portal.benefitx.com/start?ref=your-name. Anyone who signs up through that link and becomes a paying customer is permanently attributed to you.
When do I get paid?
Every month, on the 5th. We aggregate your earned commissions for the previous month and send a single ACH transfer to the bank account you connected during onboarding. There's a $25 minimum per payout — anything below that rolls over to the next month.
What if my referral cancels?
You stop earning when they cancel. There's no clawback on commissions you've already been paid (unless the referral is reversed due to chargeback or fraud, which is rare).
Can I refer myself or my own company?
No. Self-referrals and referrals from anyone with a beneficial interest in the employer (owner, employee, family member of owner) are not eligible for commission. The affiliate and the employer must be unrelated parties.
Where can I read the full agreement?
The Affiliate Agreement is presented during signup before you're approved. It covers commission terms, payment schedule, termination conditions, and the IRS 1099 reporting Stripe handles for you.
